The Upper School at Yellowstone

The upper school at Yellowstone Schools is a public charter school through IDEA, serving over 340 students and providing individualized support to help them meet their academic goals. Students are given a classic middle and high school experience in a small school setting through school dances, exciting field trips, spirit weeks, a competitive athletic department including sports such as flag football, cheer, basketball, track, volleyball, and more, as well as a robust academic program that prepares scholars for beyond high school. Students are also encouraged to participate in celebrations such as Black History Month, House events and competitions, community service events, and more.

Yellowstone Schools is an OnRamps campus with the University of Texas at Austin, meaning students can earn dual credit by the time they graduate high school.

Being a student at Yellowstone Schools feels like family—to the teachers who are there for you during your highs and lows, to the field trips and events that bond you and your classmates closer together. But don’t take it from us! Hear from current students below.
